Origins of The Calculator
The creation of this Calculator is an outgrowth from my book “Numerology for Healing” (Destiny Books 2009). I use a modified version of the ancient Assyrian – Babylonian – Greek – Judaic art of Gematria, along with a proprietary hybrid mathematical system of Numeric Daisy Chains (NDCs,) to help identify, and resolve, the reactive emotional and psychological behavior patterns that are the catalysts for 185 specific health issues. The principles associated with NDCs can be applied to any situation or interaction to achieve a better understanding of the threads of our reality and how our perceptions form them.
If you are looking for a “cause,” read the reactive interpretations of the number. If you are looking for a solution, read the proactive interpretations of a number.
Do not expect a one-paragraph summary with a personal response. The Calculator is similar to a disassembled bicycle; follow the directions, even if you find them a little frustrating, persist. Once you assemble the parts of your question in the Boilerplate Data Sheet, you can begin to discern whether the response reflects reactive behaviors (passive or controlling) or proactive behaviors based on conscious choice.
To get a personal interpretation, copy and paste the text responses for each challenge, or NDC box, into your word processor. (Use the supplied “Boilerplate Data Sheet.”)
The numeric responses to your query pinpoint the concepts and behaviors that determine whether your interactions are reactive (doing to be loved, accepted, or in control,) or proactive (doing what you love and making conscious choices.) The user is responsible for decoding the answers (using the printouts) and determining their course of action based on the proactive interpretation of the numbers. Your overall behavior patterns are reflected in the Challenge numbers. The result of those actions is described in the Numeric Daisy Chains (NDCs.)
In “Numerology for Healing,” I converted the letter values of an illness, disease, or other issue, into strings of numbers (Gematria) called Numeric Daisy Chains (NDCs.) These numeric chains reveal the underlying reactive behavior patterns that were the catalysts for a specific issue, as well as a solution for resolving that issue. On page 50 of “Numerology for Healing” is a matrix of NDCs. Similar to actual daisy flower chains, when the first number in the chain reappears as the last number in the chain, the chain is complete.
This is what a 1 numeric daisy chain (NDC), generated by a 1 Achievement Number (AN) looks like, 1 1 9 8 7 4 3 5 4 7 6 2 1.
Superscripted numbers represent reactive behavior patterns (doing to be loved, accepted, or in control) and full size numbers represent conscious proactive choices. Numeric strings range in length from three to thirteen digits.
THE KEY to getting the maximum benefit from the data provided by this Calculator, is to commit to memory the concepts associated with each of the nine numbers. This will enable you to “read” the numbers like reading words that tell a story.
Not linking the concepts in a story format will still provide answers, but looking at the superscripted numbers individually sometimes clouds the bigger picture of the interrelationships of reactive behavior patterns.
Each of the numbers for the nine core behavior patterns (Achievement Numbers) are determined by adding the numeric value of a month and day of birth (for an individual, group, organization, business, or political entity) and reducing the sum to a single digit (double-digits are also considered.) The single digit numbers one through nine represent very specific behavior patterns and personality characteristics. Each core pattern has both a proactive (solution) and reactive (challenge) component. If one can learn to live according to their proactive pattern’s they can live a more stress-free and productive life. If they choose to be controlled by their reactive patterns, based on the need to be loved, accepted, or maintain control, they will live a codependent and constricted life. Accepting the tenet of “free will,” this matrix provides individuals, businesses, and political entities a means for shifting from reactive patterns to more proactive patterns, by providing formulae and methods for making choices that can create win-win situations.
The basic matrix consists of 243 specific behavior patterns** that are the catalysts for success or failure. There are nine numbered categories of basic behavior patterns called Achievement Numbers (AN.) Each category has nine aspects (Numeric Daisy Chains,) each aspect has three components, two reactive behavior patterns (passive or aggressive) and one proactive behavior pattern (conscious choice.)

At this time, the number of “Basic Reactive/Proactive patterns, is limited to one for each category – passive/codependent, aggressive/controlling, and proactive. I am aware of the many examples that could be used to personalize these behavior patterns; they will appear in my next book, “The Mathematics of Sociology.”
Each aspect has a minimum of eighteen reactive behavior patterns and nine proactive patterns that are determined by conscious choice. Within these same nine aspects are three pairs of thirteen-digit numeric chains that mirror each other’s patterns, one pair of five-digit chains, and one three-digit chain.
If one chooses to work on the two or three most frequently recurring reactive behavior patterns and resolve them, all other patterns will entrain with the new proactive patterns. These overlapping patterns explain how and why we behave the way we do, with family, friends, coworkers, partners, and the world at large. The Calculator’s analytic tools explain the same behavior patterns when applied to groups, businesses, political entities, fictional characters, even pets.
For human beings, it can interpret dreams, identify the causes and solutions for health issues (physical and mental,) injuries, anti-social behaviors, learning modalities, conflicts, reactionary behaviors, facilitating change, social awkwardness, or addictions. It provides answers to the questions: Who am I. Why am I here? What am I supposed to do? How can I make ______ happen? How can I succeed? The most specific answers are derived from questions beginning with What, Why, and How.
For groups, corporations, governments, organizations, or institutions the matrix provides a tool that can create more harmonious and productive environments.
